STORYTIME at Pope Memorial Library this week is all about COMMUNITY. How best to relate this theme to our toddlers and preschoolers? Stories, songs and activities that are all about helping and sharing. Miss Marilyn, our Youth Librarian, has lots of fun planned. Come join our happy gathering this Wednesday, May 28th. Storytime starts at 10:30am.

Wood Dump @ Danville Stump Dump aka Wood Dump

  • Only for Danville Residents or contractors working on Danville property.
  • Only the following materials are acceptable for passive composting:  yard waste (leaves, grass clippings, plant material, stumps, branches, etc.), untreated lumper:  scrap wood (some nails ok), pallets: by law no painted, stained, or pressure treated wood; No construction waste such as sheet rock, concrete, brick, rock, metal, etc.
  • Open (with volunteer attendants) on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the months of May through October from 8:00am until noon.
  • Attendants must maintain a log including the name and address of users and the type and approximate weight of materials.
  • To access the Stump Dump at other times, ask questions, or volunteer as an attendant, please call the Selectboard office at 802-684-3426 or Glenn Herrin at 802-274-0072 – volunteers are always welcome and needed!
