Vermont establishes Selectboards under 24 V.S.A. § 872 as a Town’s legislative body. A Selectboard enacts ordinances, regulations and policies; appoints most non-elected local officials; and is responsible for the overall management of the Town including town property and personnel, annual planning for maintenance of town roads, and the annual budget.

The Selectboard meets regularly in the Town Hall at 6:00 pm on the first and third Thursdays of every month.

• Members of the public are always welcome, but the board can only take action on items that have been properly warned on the agenda (normally set 2-3 days prior)
